Government Girls Polytechnic, Jhansi was formerly known as Veerangna Jhalkari Bai Government Girls Polytechnic became functional in a limited territorial expanse in 1992, with bare minimum facilities.
During the last 26 years, the Institute has undergone a phenomenal evolution. It has transformed into a massive monument with all facilities, extended over an area of 16 acres.

1. DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGG ( DURATION-3 YRS).
Department provides an ambient teaching-learning environment for its students through qualified, experienced faculty and smart classroom facility.
The course structure is as per Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh and includes courses on nascent topics to equip our students with the latest developments in Computer Science Engineering to bridge the gap with the industry.
2. DIPLOMA IN ELECTRONICS ENGG. (DURATION – 3 YRS).
The department has excellent records of Campus Placement in various national companies and international companies Industrial visits to HEG, BHEL, Railways, Anant Spinning Mills, National Fertilizers Limited etc.

3. DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL ENGG. ( DURATION – 3 YRS).
The department has good records of placement in prominent companies.
4. DIPLOMA IN FASHION DESIGNING & GARMENT TECHNOLOGY( DURATION -3 YRS).
The course is designed for those who have never had any exposure to industry level sewing but wants to make a career in this field.
You look after the technical aspect of the production of garments. A fashion technologist will design the new dresses, but it is a garment technologist who decides if the design can actually be created.
You also choose the best method for creating the garment and may modify the design as necessary by practical limitation.
You have to make sure that the correct techniques and the most appropriate machine is used in the production of the garment.
It is also your responsibility to keep an eye on the cost and come up with the most cost-effective combination of material and method for the garments.
Overall, a person specialized in garment technology looks after the technical aspect of the creation of the garments in addition to acting as a consultant to fashion designers and marketing personnel.
5. DIPLOMA IN INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL ENGG (DURATION – 3YRS).
The process variables used in industries are Level, Pressure, Temperature, Humidity, Flow, pH, Force, Speed etc.
Control engineering or control systems engineering is the engineering discipline that applies control theory to design systems with desired behaviors.
Control engineers are responsible for the research, design, development and control devices/systems, typically in manufacturing facilities and plants.
The practice uses sensors to measure the output performance of the device being controlled and those measurements can be used to give feedback to the input actuators that can make corrections toward desired performance.
When a device is designed to perform without the need for human inputs for correction it is called automatic control.
Multi-disciplinary in nature, control systems engineering activities focus on the implementation of control systems mainly derived by mathematical modeling of systems of a diverse range.
