B. T. Kumaon Institute of Technology, Dwarahat

Initially, the foundation of the college, B. T. Kumaon Institute of Technology, Dwarahat was laid under the guidance of Shri Narayan Dutt Tiwari, Govt. of India on April 20, 1986.

However, it was started during the reign of Late Chief Minister Shri Veer Bahadur Singh when 155 acres of land was allotted for college by the UP Govt.

Besides this, in B. T. Kumaon Institute of Technology, Dwarahat Academic session in B.E. was started with 2 branches CSE and ECE in the year 1991.

Further, we have a well planned educational programme. That is similar to the one followed at IITs and RECs/NITs of the country for the development of technology & engineering education facilities in the Kumaon Region.

Further, seeing the availability, capability, and usefulness of land, B. T. Kumaon Institute of Technology, Dwarahat prepared a master plan.

Also, develop project report regarding development of B. T. Kumaon Institute of Technology, Dwarahat in different fields in the year 1996. However, it was approved by the administrative council.

At present, B. T. Kumaon Institute of Technology, Dwarahat runs seven graduate engineering programmes.

Such as Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering.

Further, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Biochemical Engineering.

Also, three Postgraduate programmes such as Masters of Computer Applications, Master of Technology (M. Tech) in CSE and Mechanical departments.

Besides this, B. T. Kumaon Institute of Technology, Dwarahat has now started Ph. D. programmes in 2016.

However, the Institute, B. T. Kumaon Institute of Technology, Dwarahat offers several other infrastructural facilities. Further, these are for faculty and students, such as hostels, staff residential campus, departmental buildings.

Also, offer student’s activity club and a multipurpose hall have been developed.
