Govt Polytechnic Gonda was established in the year 1965.

The institute is situated on Gonda – Utraula Road which is 5.3 km from railway station & 2.3 km from Bus Station. 

In this institute, the student gets 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Electrical Engineering in Industrial Control.

The institute is owned by Government of Uttar Pradesh & affiliated to the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh.

This institute provides Diploma program to the students.

There are Four Hostels for boys in the Institute for 230 students.

The institute is established in 55 Acre, out of the 10-acre land is transferred to the Government Engineering College in 2017 where Engineering College Building, Hostels, Workshop, and Residences are under construction. 

Out of the remaining 45-acre land area the Main Building, Electronics Building, 4-Hostels for boys, 1-hostel for girls (under construction) and residence for principle and staffs are constructed.

Government Polytechnic Gonda was established with the single-minded objective of providing professional education to the students & to make them responsible citizen who can contribute towards the society morally & socially.

The institute Started Its First Course In 1965.

This institute is Open For Both Men And Women.
